November Check-in before the End of Year Push

November Check-in Before the End of Year Push.

Next week, it's November.
I say that not to alarm you — but because I think it's worth pausing for a moment before it arrives. November is one of those months that tends to accelerate and head at full speed into the end of the year festivities, events appear in the diary, and the pressure of things not yet done starts to feel more urgent.
Before all that, I want to offer you a few minutes of something different.
Not a review. Not a goal-setting exercise. Not a checklist for getting ahead of December.
Just a pause.

There is a specific weight to this transition between October and November—a moment where the changing leaves mirror the transitions happening inside my practice room. I notice it in the small, physical adjustments I make to meet the drop in temperature: reaching for a warmer jumper and pulling on thicker socks before the morning's first session.
Clients often arrive at this hinge point carrying mid-autumn fatigue or the early anxiety of upcoming holiday pressures. For me, this shift serves as an honest check-in: Am I holding space for others from a place of grounded abundance, or am I running on empty? It’s a quiet invitation to practice the very comfort, boundary-setting, and self-compassion I so often encourage in my clients—ensuring we remain rooted as the season cools down around us.
This year has been a lot, for most people I speak to.
There have been things that went well and went quietly unacknowledged — because we moved on before we let them land. Things that were hard that we're still carrying without quite realising it. And things that mattered that got lost in the noise.
I'd like to invite you to sit with three questions — something to take on a walk, or hold over a cup of tea, or write a few lines about if that's how you think best.
What am I quietly proud of from this year?
Not the big visible wins. The quiet ones. The thing you did that nobody noticed, or that you almost didn't do, or that cost you something to do. Those count too.
Is there something I've been meaning to give myself that I still could? Before the year closes. It doesn't have to be large or expensive or dramatic. Sometimes it's an afternoon. A conversation. A decision you've been putting off that would actually be a relief.
What does November need to feel like, for me?
Not what it needs to look like, or what you need to achieve in it. How you want to feel as it moves through you. That's a different question, and often a more useful one.
I hope something in those lands.
If the idea of having more supported space to do this kind of inner work appeals — I have some spaces opening in the new year for people who want exactly that. More on those soon.
As always, if something here resonates — or if there's something you've been meaning to say but haven't found the moment for — reply to this email. I read every one.
With warmth,
Deborah
P.S. Sometimes this time of year brings things to the surface that feel too big for a quiet cup of tea. If something is pressing on you and you'd like a gentle space to talk it through, a free 30-minute discovery call is always there. No agenda, no pressure.
